Georgia

Georgia is known in the Caucasus and outside the region for its wines, cuisine and hospitality. Georgia is also called the state of long-lived persons. In the mountain villages of Georgia can be found a hundred year old persons, who deftly manage the horses and cut down a tree at one stroke with the thickness of the two hands of an adult male.

Generally, Georgia is famous for its legends. The most famous epos of the Georgian people is considered to be «The Knight in Panther’s Skin» of the great Georgian poet Shota Rustaveli, written in the XIII century, the story of love, devotion and desperate bravery.

The capital of Georgia Tbilisi is located in the heart of the Caucasus. At the central streets of Tbilisi preserved the buildings since the Middle Ages. A distinctive feature of Tbilisi architecture is a large number of two- and three-storey houses with arched balconies, built directly on the slopes. In the Old Town, one of the main tourist sites of Tbilisi, many restaurants and cafes will offer such range of dishes of Georgian cuisine that even the most experienced gourmet will get crazy.

In Georgia there is a large number of interesting natural objects. In large-scale tours of Georgia have always been included the visits to all the natural beauties of Georgia: from Kelsk plateau and Truss gorge to the valleys of the rivers Kura and Rioni. By the way, these two rivers is a popular place among fans of extreme tourism, especially rafters.

Wine Tours in Georgia is one of the most popular types of travelling in the country. Traditions of Georgian wine-making and famous sorts of wine, Rkatseteli, Hvanchkara, Kinzmarauli, attract to Georgia tourists from all over the world. Of course, tasting the Georgian wines in Georgia is a pleasure, that should try each visitor of the Caucasus.

River of Memory will appear in Minsk
Memorial composition in memory of those killed in the terrorist attack on April 11, 2011 in Minsk subway will be installed at the Oktyabrskaya station exit. Now there is a temporary marble memorial plaque where are always burning candles and church lamps.

Holidays in Bulgaria: visa-free regime for Schengen owners
The Bulgarian government decided to simplify for many tourists the procedure of entering the country. From now on all people with a valid Schengen visa can go on holiday to Bulgaria without national visa. In such way Bulgaria is preparing its structures for the upcoming country’s entry into the visa-free regime, which today functions between the EU countries. The decision to introduce new visa rules was taken by the Bulgarian cabinet of ministers on Wednesday January 26, 2011. According to the Bulgarian cabinet, the new visa policy will spur the tourist interest and will make Bulgaria more attractive to foreign investors. Schengen visa owners will be able to get permission to enter Bulgaria and stay on its territory for a period of up to 3 months during the six months from the date of first entry. It should be noted that the new visa rules in Bulgaria will be useful not only for the EU citizens, but also tourists from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, who have a Schengen visa. New measures, inter alia, must stir up not only the tourism sector, but also resort property market in Bulgaria. Since the beginning of the financial crisis in 2008 leading Black Sea resorts in Bulgaria have marked decreasing of the square meter price. Opportunity to visit the country for Schengen owners will facilitate entry of potential buyers and will indirectly stimulate the demand for Bulgarian property. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, in 2011 its consulates issued in total 733 623 visas, which is by 18% more than in 2010.
