Supermodel 2005
18 January 2006, in the final of the contest a young Belarusian beauty for the first time won the title « The supermodel of the World». She was a 17 year-old student of the Minsk Polytechnical High School number 6, Catherine Domankova, a pupil of Sergey Nagorny Fashion Studio.
The prestigious contest, organized by the famous model agency "Ford Models", was held for the 25-th time in New York. As a reward for the victory Catherine was proposed to sign a contract with the model agency "Ford" for 3 years, amounting to a quarter of a million dollars.
Catherina naturally has not only a impressive and attractive appearance, but also the intellect and talent. Cheerful, purposeful girl likes sports, reading O'Henry, Remarque, Dumas, Chekhov, perfectly fluent in English, also is studying German and French. After graduating from High School Catherine is going to enter the Belarusian State University.
Star career of the young Belarusian beauty started very unexpectedly in 2004. Extraordinary appearance of the girl was noticed by the head of the model agency S. Nagorny in a very ordinary place, in a cafe in Minsk, where Katya came with friends. A young beauty did not plan a career of a model and initially refused from the viewing. Fortunately, thanks to her parents, after a while, she accepted the invitation.
The career of a young talented star in the firmament of Belarusian business model is growing rapidly. According to Catherine: «Of course, this is a piece of luck. But I also had to put out considerable effort. This is actually a very hard work. Every day I take part in 8-10 castings in different places of the city. Usually I have to get up at 5 am. Moreover, sometimes at the shootings I don’t have time for lunch, because I have to work the whole day ». Already in 2004, the young model Ekaterina Domankova represented the collection of Paul Smith and became the face of mobile operator company Dialog, and in 2005 the face of the company Bugalux (Belarus). The combination of professionalism of the mentors, amazing appearance of Catherine and her outstanding efforts in 2006 led young model to the victory in one of the most prestigious contests «Ford Models». According to Sergei Nagorny, the Director of the studio, where Katya has started her career: «She was not going to participate in the contest, she was going to get acquainted with the agency, but the organizers immediately invited her to participate in the final».
Due to the combination of incredible natural beauty, talent, dedication and, of course, good luck at the contest «Supermodel of the World» Catherine Domankova easily defeated her rivals from 38 countries, and, having received the unanimous acceptance of all 25 judges, brilliantly won!
Despite her breathtaking career, which promises the contract with the agency "Ford Models", Catherine is going to continue her career cooperating with Sergey Nagorny Fashion Studio, as well as the best agencies of London and Paris. River of Memory will appear in Minsk
Memorial composition in memory of those killed in the terrorist attack on April 11, 2011 in Minsk subway will be installed at the Oktyabrskaya station exit. Now there is a temporary marble memorial plaque where are always burning candles and church lamps.

Holidays in Bulgaria: visa-free regime for Schengen owners
The Bulgarian government decided to simplify for many tourists the procedure of entering the country. From now on all people with a valid Schengen visa can go on holiday to Bulgaria without national visa. In such way Bulgaria is preparing its structures for the upcoming country’s entry into the visa-free regime, which today functions between the EU countries.
The decision to introduce new visa rules was taken by the Bulgarian cabinet of ministers on Wednesday January 26, 2011. According to the Bulgarian cabinet, the new visa policy will spur the tourist interest and will make Bulgaria more attractive to foreign investors.
Schengen visa owners will be able to get permission to enter Bulgaria and stay on its territory for a period of up to 3 months during the six months from the date of first entry.
It should be noted that the new visa rules in Bulgaria will be useful not only for the EU citizens, but also tourists from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, who have a Schengen visa.
New measures, inter alia, must stir up not only the tourism sector, but also resort property market in Bulgaria. Since the beginning of the financial crisis in 2008 leading Black Sea resorts in Bulgaria have marked decreasing of the square meter price. Opportunity to visit the country for Schengen owners will facilitate entry of potential buyers and will indirectly stimulate the demand for Bulgarian property.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, in 2011 its consulates issued in total 733 623 visas, which is by 18% more than in 2010.
