Romania
Romania is increasingly developing the summer tourism. And even despite the fact that the Black Sea is currently the main section in the German catalogues, Romania still can offer more than just rest on the beach.
As say the Romanians about their country, Romania is "a country which can offer many times more pure real nature than anyone else in Europe." The steep peaks of the Carpathians are close here with the countless stalactitic caves of the Apuneshi Mountains, mixed autumn woods in the foothills give way to the farms of the Transylvanian hills. «The Iron Gates» of the Danube open to the traveler the beauty of the flood-plain forests of the world-famous Danube Delta.
The tours to Romania are becoming increasingly popular especially among the CIS countries. Not so long ago the vacation in Romania was less popular in Russia and Ukraine than in the neighboring Bulgaria. But today we can speak of some conditional parity. Romania has attracted the tourists firstly with lower prices, as well as opportunities of travelling around the country, including cruises on the Danube Delta.
In Romania, there are several places that can be considered to be the centers of local tourism. This is Bucharest that is known as one of the greenest cities in Europe. The place of mass pilgrimage of the tourists is the area along the Danube Delta, which is called Dacia. There situated "The Iron Gates", a giant hydroelectric power plant, around which was created a network of artificial lakes.
Of course, you can’t imagine Romania without Dracula, one of the most famous characters of cinema mythology of the 20th century. In the Dracula-Tour to the places associated with the legendary vampire is annually booked by the hundreds of thousands of tourists. The region in which located most of the attractions is called Transylvania. Here, in particular, near the city of Brasov, where had ruled Vlad Tsepesh, is situated the Bran Castle.
Romania is also a popular region for skiing. The main mountain ranges, where located the majority of ski resorts in Romania are the Carpathians and the Retezat Mountains. Also well-known are the resorts of Sinaja, Predeal, Poiana Brasov and the Prahova Valley resort area in the southern Carpathians.

Holidays in Bulgaria: visa-free regime for Schengen owners
The Bulgarian government decided to simplify for many tourists the procedure of entering the country. From now on all people with a valid Schengen visa can go on holiday to Bulgaria without national visa. In such way Bulgaria is preparing its structures for the upcoming country’s entry into the visa-free regime, which today functions between the EU countries.
The decision to introduce new visa rules was taken by the Bulgarian cabinet of ministers on Wednesday January 26, 2011. According to the Bulgarian cabinet, the new visa policy will spur the tourist interest and will make Bulgaria more attractive to foreign investors.
Schengen visa owners will be able to get permission to enter Bulgaria and stay on its territory for a period of up to 3 months during the six months from the date of first entry.
It should be noted that the new visa rules in Bulgaria will be useful not only for the EU citizens, but also tourists from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, who have a Schengen visa.
New measures, inter alia, must stir up not only the tourism sector, but also resort property market in Bulgaria. Since the beginning of the financial crisis in 2008 leading Black Sea resorts in Bulgaria have marked decreasing of the square meter price. Opportunity to visit the country for Schengen owners will facilitate entry of potential buyers and will indirectly stimulate the demand for Bulgarian property.
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, in 2011 its consulates issued in total 733 623 visas, which is by 18% more than in 2010.
