On the territory of the famous Ukrainian mountain health resort of "Bukovel", located in the village Polyanytsi of Yaremchanskiy city council of Ivano-Frankivsk region, was found a very significant arsenal of ammunition.

It should be noted that such dangerous "treasures" are not too rare for the Carpathian region, where during this year were found 717 pieces of explosive finds, 687 of which were defused. At this time a dangerous discovery of the Second World War was found during the land and construction work carried out by the Administration while preparing for the new winter tourist season 2009-2010.

According to information provided by the General Directorate of MES in Ivano-Frankivsk region of Ukraine, in total on the area of tourist complex "Bukovel" were found 22 artillery shells, 3 hand grenades and 2 mines. At the moment, employees of the Ministry of Emergency Situations (MES) are carrying out preparatory works for the defusing of munitions found.

The administration of the resort, however, is very optimistic and carrying out significant reconstruction work that would please the guests of the complex in the new tourist season. Thus, currently is undergoing some work for improving of the infrastructure of the resort. In particular will be improved transport links and opened new parkings. For the convenience of the clients this year will greatly increased the capacity of ski lifts and equipment rental stations. There will also be greatly expanded the housing stock of the resort and opened a new youth entertainment center and a unique SPA-salon.
