Ten best festivals of Europe 2010

(European news)

Anticipating the joy of music fans the popular British publication The Guardian published a list of 10 best festivals of the next year. It is noteworthy that among such giants of European music industry as Helfest (France), Springfestival (Austria) and Iceland Airwaves (Iceland) first place took the East European festival Soundwave (Croatia).

The Croatian festival Soundwave is held on the picturesque coast of the Adriatic Sea, near Zadar, in a small fishing village which age exceeds 900 years. The magnificent Dalmatian pristine beaches, gentle sunshine and a bracing sea breeze are an integral part of the festival. According to the Guardian journalists, thanks to the high professionalism of the organizers and its unique natural conditions the Croatian festival can contest with the famous British Bestival (the Isle of White).

The great atmosphere of the amphitheater, a magnificent beach terrace for the daytime languor and dancing in the moonlight, elegant chic of the 70's, the great feelings at the hooligan Boat Party - all this makes the Soundwave festival completely unique holiday for music lovers and clubbers. Getting tired of the endless musical rhythm you can retire to one of the local beaches and dive into the crystal waters and sunshine of the Adriatic, explore spectacular national parks or enjoy the authentic culinary delights of Croatian cuisine in the house of the farmer or the fishing village nearby.

All these advantages have allowed the Croatian Soundwave festival to take the first place in the rating of the best festivals, which should be visited next year. Thus, these are the best music festivals of the next year:

1. Soundwave, Croatia
2. Netmage, Italy
3. No Fun
4. Hellfest, France
5. Springfestival, Austria
6. Gilles Peterson's Worldwide Festival, France
7. St Magnus Festival on Orkney
8. Iceland Airwaves, Iceland
9. World Fleadh, Ireland
10. Tempo Latino, France

Holidays in Bulgaria: visa-free regime for Schengen owners
The Bulgarian government decided to simplify for many tourists the procedure of entering the country. From now on all people with a valid Schengen visa can go on holiday to Bulgaria without national visa. In such way Bulgaria is preparing its structures for the upcoming country’s entry into the visa-free regime, which today functions between the EU countries. The decision to introduce new visa rules was taken by the Bulgarian cabinet of ministers on Wednesday January 26, 2011. According to the Bulgarian cabinet, the new visa policy will spur the tourist interest and will make Bulgaria more attractive to foreign investors. Schengen visa owners will be able to get permission to enter Bulgaria and stay on its territory for a period of up to 3 months during the six months from the date of first entry. It should be noted that the new visa rules in Bulgaria will be useful not only for the EU citizens, but also tourists from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, who have a Schengen visa. New measures, inter alia, must stir up not only the tourism sector, but also resort property market in Bulgaria. Since the beginning of the financial crisis in 2008 leading Black Sea resorts in Bulgaria have marked decreasing of the square meter price. Opportunity to visit the country for Schengen owners will facilitate entry of potential buyers and will indirectly stimulate the demand for Bulgarian property. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, in 2011 its consulates issued in total 733 623 visas, which is by 18% more than in 2010.
