The last days of May traditionally brought to the British capital one of the most elegant and sophisticated events dedicated to the high art of horticulture in England - the annual Chelsea Flower Show.

Luxurious carpets of green, the charm of natural wild flowers, the solemnity and grandeur - this is one of the main definitions of charming English garden. The annual flower show in Chelsea (London) is a great social event, visit which can’t be missed by not only the huge number of gardeners, designers and celebrities, but even Queen Elizabeth II. Unique flower show in Chelsea, which history has almost 150 years, is a reflection of recent trends in floral fashion from the UK.

The annual flower show in Chelsea is one of the exceptional cultural events of the United Kingdom. It is not only an excellent example of the famous British high garden art, but also one of the most sophisticated secular events in aristocratic Britain. The current Chelsea Flower Show 2010 became one of the most vivid and interactive flower shows of such scale, which gathered more than 150 000 professional and amateur gardeners from around the world.

This year in Chelsea was presented 15 stunning show-gardens, 21 compact garden and more than 160 floral displays and 250 exhibits of garden accessories. There were represented lush gardens created by renowned landscape designers as Tom Stuart-Smith (for the Laurent Perrier Garden), Robert Myers (Cancer Research UK), Thomas Hoblin (Foreign & Colonial Investment Trust), Andy Stegeon (Daily Telegraph), James Wong (Tourism Malaysia).

River of Memory will appear in Minsk
Memorial composition in memory of those killed in the terrorist attack on April 11, 2011 in Minsk subway will be installed at the Oktyabrskaya station exit. Now there is a temporary marble memorial plaque where are always burning candles and church lamps.

Holidays in Bulgaria: visa-free regime for Schengen owners
The Bulgarian government decided to simplify for many tourists the procedure of entering the country. From now on all people with a valid Schengen visa can go on holiday to Bulgaria without national visa. In such way Bulgaria is preparing its structures for the upcoming country’s entry into the visa-free regime, which today functions between the EU countries. The decision to introduce new visa rules was taken by the Bulgarian cabinet of ministers on Wednesday January 26, 2011. According to the Bulgarian cabinet, the new visa policy will spur the tourist interest and will make Bulgaria more attractive to foreign investors. Schengen visa owners will be able to get permission to enter Bulgaria and stay on its territory for a period of up to 3 months during the six months from the date of first entry. It should be noted that the new visa rules in Bulgaria will be useful not only for the EU citizens, but also tourists from Russia, Ukraine and Belarus, who have a Schengen visa. New measures, inter alia, must stir up not only the tourism sector, but also resort property market in Bulgaria. Since the beginning of the financial crisis in 2008 leading Black Sea resorts in Bulgaria have marked decreasing of the square meter price. Opportunity to visit the country for Schengen owners will facilitate entry of potential buyers and will indirectly stimulate the demand for Bulgarian property. According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Bulgaria, in 2011 its consulates issued in total 733 623 visas, which is by 18% more than in 2010.
