A snow park will be built in Zakopane?

(News from Poland)

Zakopane, Poland's main mountain resort, despite the high popularity as a winter recreation region, do not yet offer a full range of capabilities, which today can be found in the ski resorts of Austria or France. Among the major shortcomings of Zakopane is the lack of snow parks, area, where people can master the skills of snowboarding. As it became known to the publication thenews.pl, the idea to create a snow park in Zakopane may be realized in the near future.

Several Polish snowboarders took the initiative to build the snow park in Zakopane at the foot of one of the main ski peaks of the resort - Kasprowy Verkch Mountain. As a place to house the future snow park, the fans of the board offered to choose one of the old tracks.

Today the possibility of creating a snow park is discussed by the Polish snowboarders and an operator of the ski resort of Zakopane – PKL company.

In this case, Polish media reported that the final decision on construction a snow park in Zakopane is mot still adopted. The edition of Dziennik Polski quoted the head of the school of snowboarding in Zakopane, which notes that before it should be resolved all issues on the functioning of the lifts in the new zone.

One of the difficulties in the organization of the park lies in the fact that Zakopane is situated in the Tatra National Park and therefore the creators of new tourist projects have to take into account environmental requirements. It is noted that the park administration said "no" to the construction project.

Among the main issues addressed to Zakopane, prior to construction is the use of snow machines, because since the opening of the snow park access to the slopes of Kasprow Peak will be difficult.
