(News from Ukraine)
An original gift was presented for the New Year holidays by the authorities of the Black Sea resort city of Evpatoria for the residents of Kiev. According to information provided by the head of Evpatoria Andrei Danilenko, currently is being considered a proposal to launch a high-speed train that will connect the Ukrainian capital with the famous seaside resort.
According to information provided by the City Council of Evpatoria, the project of the launch of the high-speed train between Kiev and one of the most famous resorts of Crimea, Evpatoria, is one of the most promising prospects, and one of the priorities of the resort.
Currently, Evpatoria and Kiev are connected by only traditional rail using outdated technology and engineering equipment. At the moment, between the cities runs 087O train, which overcomes the distance between Kiev and Evpatoria for more than 21 hours and does not meet the high demands not only travelers, but also the minimum requirements of passenger traffic, especially during summer.
The new project includes the creation and launch of a new high-speed train under the tentative title "Kiev-Beach", which will allow residents and guests of the Ukrainian capital in few hours get from Kiev to the Black Sea coast.
At the moment, the details of the project on creation of the high-speed railway form Kiev to Crimea are discussed at the Ministry of Transport of Ukraine. The exact launch date of the "beach arrow" is not yet announced.
