Sunny Beach is fighting with hard drinking

(News from Bulgaria)

Bulgaria, which has been known for a long time to many tourists thanks to the magnificent golden beaches, mild Black Sea climate, quality wines and reasonable prices, has recently faced the problem of inflow of "alcohol" tourists.

Famous Bulgarian resort Sunny Beach, which recently was known as "cultural" resort, in recent years has been overcrowded with drunken hooligan foreigners. Local tour operators specifically for reckless travelers looking for "bread and circuses" have created a series of original sightseeing tours that received an ironic and highly accurate name "Crawling along the bars". Such trips traditionally collect up to several hundreds of "abusing" tourists for a walk along the nightclubs, which often end with massive fights and looting.

For the fight against uncontrolled drinking and hooliganism, organization of alcoholic excursions to bars and nightclubs of Sunny Beach, which acquired enormous popularity in recent years, in the near future will be significantly adjusted.

Under the new regulations travel companies offering tourists alcohol excursions, will have to submit a preliminary application, indicating the exact route and a list of bars to visit, to the local administration. For security reasons, the group consisting of no more than 195 people will move strictly along the route, accompanied by not only a guide, but a police officer.

Violators of the new regime will be severely punished by up to revocation of licenses for travel services.
