Nikitsky botanical garden invites tourists to the Spring Parade of Flowers

In anticipation of the upcoming summer season and the long-awaited vacations tourists can visit the famous resort of the Crimea - Yalta - where there are the Black Sea refreshing breeze, thick aroma of cypresses and charming "Spring Parade of Flowers" in the oldest in Ukraine Nikitsky botanical garden will make May holidays absolutely unforgettable.

Parade of flowers, unlike the Chrysanthemum Ball, which is held in autumn in Nikitsky botanical garden, is a rather young tradition and this year will be held just for the second time. The real flourishing sea will bloom in late April - early May and will consist of more than 140 000 varieties of spring flowers, including traditional tulips, hyacinths, crocuses and daffodils.

Parade of flowers in Nikitsky botanical garden near Yalta will present its visitors more than 150 different varieties of the most beautiful tulips, among which will be not only "foreign guests", but also great varieties bred by the Crimean breeders, such as "Mirage", "Claudia", "Lyudmila" "Tamara", "Antonina", "Galina Ulanova", "Blue-eyed," "Pearl" and many others. In addition to the traditional varieties the Flower Parade guests will be able to enjoy the unique antique varieties developed in the XIX century.

Besides the pleasure to watch the amazing Yalta Spring Parade of Flowers in Nikitsky botanical garden, visitors of the colorful festival can purchase favorite plants. Visitors will be offered a wide choice of irises (5 UAH), purslanes (2 UAH), cactuses (up to 12 UAH), as well as a variety of bushes.

After the Parade of Flowers in Nikitsky botanical garden will be arranged the sale of bulbs of tulips and hyacinths of the Spring Parade.
