Varna airport- new timetable
Varna Airport, the main summer resort in Bulgaria, will present an updated timetable for the forthcoming summer season on 27 March 2011. This year it will have 19 more scheduled flights.
Among the new regular flights 4 routes will be absolutely new. For the first time flights will connect Varna with two Russian cities - Kazan and Samara. The other two flights are for the Polish city of Katowice and the German Cologne.
Vienna, Budapest and Sofia – these flights will be the most frequent and will depart from Varna every day.
Russian airlines will start its daily flights in June. S7Airlines will make flights to Moscow to the Domodedovo airport.
The biggest Bulgarian air carrier in early June will fly from Varna to Sheremetyevo twice a week starting from June 2. Once a week the company will perform flights to St. Petersburg (from May 28). In May will also be opened air service from Yekaterinburg.
Most new flights will also begin in June. In the first month of summer will start flight Varna-Kazan of the Tatarstan Airlines. Novosibirsk, Rostov and Samara - these cities will also have regular flights to Varna in June.
Budget airlines will present their flights early. From April 1, three times a week will depart flights to Brussels. Wizz Air twice a week (Tuesday and Saturday) will fly to London's Luton Airport. From April 22 Bulgaria Air will introduce another flight to the London Gatwick airport.
As for the flight to Cologne, it will be operated by the Germanwings airline once a week with from the second half of July.

Bulgaria will spend 150 million euros for the castles
Bulgaria intends to start a large-scale reconstruction of its historic monuments. Today across the country there are hundreds of colorful historical sites that require serious restoration. Castles, churches, houses and villas in Bulgaria will receive state support this year. The country intends to invest about 300 million levs (150 villion Euros) in restoration of monuments. According to bTV channel, the largest part of this sum will be granted by the European Union.
