Albena opened 2011 summer season

(News from Bulgaria)

Albena can officially announce opening of its summer season. At this resort in Bulgaria on April 19, 2011 arrived the first tourists. They were a group of Germans, who intend to improve their health in Albena.

Many tourists, as noted by novinite.com newspaper, will use balneological opportunities in Albena. In addition, the tourist program includes visiting Easter celebrations in Bulgaria, which will be held at neighboring resorts: Varna, Balchik and Dobrich.

This year Bulgaria expects growth in the number of tourists from Germany, which, according to preliminary estimates, will exceed the previous year by third. According to the data announced by the Bulgarian Telegraph Agency, the total number of tourists from Germany on the Albena beaches in 2011 could exceed 26 000 people.

Average April temperature in Albena is 10-18 degrees. This year Easter is especially warm, which allowed Albena to open the season two weeks earlier than usual. It is worth noting that active swimming season begins in Albena in mid-June.

Among several features of the upcoming season at the resort is cancellation of early reservations in all Albena hotels. High demand for hotels in Bulgaria allows owners to change their policies and set prices directly on the eve of the new season.

Albena is the first private resort in Bulgaria. It was founded in 1969 and finally privatized in 2004. To date Albena offers dozens types of holidays, where in addition to the above-noted health-improving opportunities is available active recreation: water skiing, surfing, horse riding and cycling tours. In Albena are opened amusement park and many children clubs, which makes this resort one of the best places for holidays in Bulgaria with children.
