Top 10 restaurants of Central and Eastern Europe

(Hungarian news)

In Budapest were chosen top 10 restaurants in Central and Eastern Europe. Awarding ceremony was held during the exhibition Dining Guide Food Show, which ended in the Hungarian capital on 5 June, 2011.

The new award was named CEEfood. It was held for the first time in Budapest, but now it promises to be a large-scale and popular event.

In the contest took part restaurants of such countries as Slovakia, Hungary, Czech Republic, Bulgaria, Croatia, Romania, Poland, Serbia and Slovenia. A distinctive feature of the event was participation of Turkish representatives.

Organizers of CEEfood position this prize as fully independent competition. Jurors anonymously visited restaurants and formed their ideas about dishes without its owners. To be nominated for the best restaurant, according to CEEfood, it does not necessarily have long history or prizes. The most important thing is quality of cuisine.

In the end were chosen top ten restaurants, which competed for the title of the best restaurant of Central and Eastern Europe. Organizers did not identify any favorites, so the list is given in alphabetical order.

Camouflage restaurant, Bratislava, Slovakia
Chateau Visz restaurant, Berencse puszta, Hungary
Enoteca Uno restaurant, Sofia, Bulgaria;
Heritage restaurant, Bucharest, Romania
La Degustation Boheme Bourgeoise restaurant, Prague, Czech Republic
La Rotisserie restaurant, Warsaw, Poland
Müzedechanga restaurant, Istanbul, Turkey
Pri Lojzetu Zemon castle restaurant, Vipava, Slovenia
Valsabbion restaurant, Pula, Croatia
Zaplet restaurant, Belgrade, Serbia

It is worth noting that choosing the top ten is only the first stage of the award. In the end the organizers of CEEfood intend to name the one best restaurant in the region.
