Original floating hotels offering fascinating river cruises, which are widely spread throughout Europe, will soon appear on the Belarusian rivers.

The first unique project of floating hotels for Belarus was recently realized in Polesie. At the Pinsk SudRemZavod were created four unique pleasure vessels, which will become new floating hotels on the rivers in Belarus.

First operations on creating unique floating hotel began in October 2010. The hull was created at Rechitsa SudRemZavod. Floating hotels were ordered by "Turovschina" nature reserve and were designed primarily for tourists and vacationers. New floating hotel will move with tugboat, which was specially converted for this project from the Central Pripyat tug.

The unique project of a floating hotel was developed by the Gomel company BelSudProekt and realized by specialists of SudRemZavod in Pinsk. Unique floating hotels were created only from natural materials and using environmentally friendly energy-saving technologies.

Cabins of the floating hotel are designed as double rooms and include a comfortable bed, wardrobe and table, modern shower cabin and air conditioning – all this is designed to make rest on the river easy and enjoying.

New floating hotels are designed for tourists and, according to the Minister of Transport and Communications Ivan Scherbo, will attract more tourist into Belarus. For cruises of floating hotels will be used such water routes as Dnepr, Berezina and Pripyat. Enormous potential, according to the minister, has recently renovated Dnepr-Bug Canal, where are created ideal conditions for river cruises.

In the next few years it is expected to significantly increase the number of floating hotels and create at least one ship for each port.
