"Expendables 2" will be filmed in Bulgaria

Shooting of the "Expendables 2" with a whole galaxy of action movie stars will be held in Bulgaria in the near future. It was reported by the Bulgarian media, in particular, sofiaecho.com.
Continuation of the "Expendables" blockbuster will gather more stars this time. The legendary Sylvester Stallone – the author and the screenwriter of the "Expendables" managed to invite such "old school" stars as Chuck Norris and Jean-Claude Van Damme. In addition in the film will play Stallone himself, Arnold Schwarzenegger, Jason Statham, John Travolta, Jet Li, Dolph Lundgren, Mickey Rourke and Bruce Willis. Participation of Nicolas Cage is also being considered.
Screening of the "Expendables 2" will be held in the pavilions of the NU Boyana studio, located in Sofia. It should be noted that in NU Boyana studio were made a number of Hollywood blockbusters. But, anyway, shooting of the "Expendables 2" will be unique for the studio due to the number of stars.
Sofia and NU Boyana studio pavilions will be not the only place in Bulgaria, where it will be filmed. Bansko ski resort will also be a background for the blockbuster. Part of the episodes of the "Expendables 2" will be filmed at the resort in November 2011.
In order to test the preparations Sylvester Stallone arrived to Sofia on September 29, 2011. It is worth noting that this time he will act only as an actor. The film will be directed by Simon West.

Bulgaria will spend 150 million euros for the castles
Bulgaria intends to start a large-scale reconstruction of its historic monuments. Today across the country there are hundreds of colorful historical sites that require serious restoration. Castles, churches, houses and villas in Bulgaria will receive state support this year. The country intends to invest about 300 million levs (150 villion Euros) in restoration of monuments. According to bTV channel, the largest part of this sum will be granted by the European Union.
