Twilights movie spurred "vampire tourism" in Romania

Transylvania is a Romanian region, which is famous for the legend of the Dracula vampire, is experiencing another surge of tourist interest. This time Transylvania became popular due to the Twilight movie. According to romaniantimes.at, another series of the Hollywood vampire saga was the major catalyst for the growth of tourism in Transylvania.
As noted by the Travelex.com, the number of foreign tourists eager to watch the origins of the vampire movement in Transylvania has increased significantly in recent months. Thus, in the last four weeks the number of pre-booked tours in Transylvania from the UK increased by 50%.
According to a survey conducted by One Poll company among the fans of the famous vampire series, it was found out that one in five fans of Twilights is ready to travel to the Romanian vampire sites. This survey has also revealed an intriguing fact. Almost half of the fans thought that Transylvania is a fictional country.
Travelex.com portal predicts that about 3,000 Britons will travel to Transylvania before the Christmas. In general, demand for tours to Transylvania, according to the portal, has grown on average by 14% since the premiere - Twilight. Saga. Breaking Dawn.
In the UK the last part of the movie was premiered on November 18. During the first weekend Twilight 4 collected 283 million dollars worldwide. During the second week the film is leading in the United States by the amount of revenues.
Since the release of the first Twilights three years ago demand for holidays in Romania among the tourists from the UK rose by 80%.
Twilights fans are especially interested in traditional attractions of Transylvania - Dracula family Bran Castle and vampire costumed parties.

Bulgaria will spend 150 million euros for the castles
Bulgaria intends to start a large-scale reconstruction of its historic monuments. Today across the country there are hundreds of colorful historical sites that require serious restoration. Castles, churches, houses and villas in Bulgaria will receive state support this year. The country intends to invest about 300 million levs (150 villion Euros) in restoration of monuments.
