Holidays in Bulgaria will be promoted in 12 films
(News from Bulgaria)Bulgarian advertising campaign marks another milestone. This time the country will use 12 documentaries to attract tourists’ interest. Special documentaries promoting holidays in Bulgaria will be filmed by one of the most famous Bulgarian documentary film studios - Globus Media Group.
The series about Bulgarian tourism will consist of 12 movies each lasting 27 minutes. According to the portal novinite.com, each episode will focus on unique features and beauties of this Balkan country.
Among the topics that will be presented in the series are culture, history and traditions of Bulgaria. Special separate film named "Luxurious Bulgaria" will be devoted to the country’s business climate, its investment attractiveness, Bulgarian resort real estate market, as well as opportunities for extreme holidays and unique entertainment.
In addition to short films the company also plans to present full-length 90-minute documentary film.
The movies are planned to be distributed all around the world. Developers intend to release seven language versions of the tourist series in Bulgarian, English, French, German, Spanish, Japanese and Russian.
The filmmakers will shoot in total 200 sites in Bulgaria using underwater and air shootings. Bulgarian historical events will also be reconstructed in the films.
Premiere of the new Bulgarian series will be held in spring. In addition to Bulgaria creators are also going to present it in Brussels on May 24, 2012 on the Day of Slavic writing and culture.
Budget of the film is amounted to one million Bulgarian levs.
It should be noted many countries in the world produced documentary films to promote its tourism industry. Among such movies is UNESCO Heritage in China documentary series, which resulted in additional growth of the tourist inflow.

Bulgaria will spend 150 million euros for the castles
Bulgaria intends to start a large-scale reconstruction of its historic monuments. Today across the country there are hundreds of colorful historical sites that require serious restoration. Castles, churches, houses and villas in Bulgaria will receive state support this year. The country intends to invest about 300 million levs (150 villion Euros) in restoration of monuments. According to bTV channel, the largest part of this sum will be granted by the European Union.
