The first days of August will bring to the cultural capital of Poland Krakow surprisingly beautiful and incredible at the extent event - the tenth anniversary festival CRACOVIA DANZA. The Krakow Festival of the court dances CRACOVIA DANZA will begin on the first of August and will allow residents and visitors of the city for a short nine days to make an unforgettable trip into the past and plunge into the atmosphere of European renaissance.
The festival was organized in 2000 in сonnection with a huge interest to the history of the court dance and the need to explore the common European heritage. Since the first festival in 2000, it became one of the most exciting events not only in Poland but also in Europe, where visitors can experience the medieval European culture, and court dance fans from all over the world can meet and exchange the experiences.
The main festival events will be held from 1st to 7th August at the magnificent palace of the Renaissance, Willa Decjusza, located in one districts of Krakow. There will be a variety of presentations, concerts, exhibitions and lectures. Festival will offer its visitors court dancing lessons, which will be given by the best dancers of Poland and Europe, as well as concerts of young performers. In addition visitors will be able to make a tour to Krakow and take part in the dance competition of the historical costumes, where will be chosen the most beautiful costumes and the most accurately restored ones.
The final days of the festival from 7th to 9th August will be held at such famous places as Krakow's main Market Square, the Palace of the Biskup Erasmus Tsolek and Wawel Castle. Here guests of the festival will be able to watch the performance of young dance groups from Poland and other countries, dance procession and become the parties of a fancy-dress ball.
