In Krakow will be held Music Festival Sacrum Profanum 2009

Polish Festival Sacrum Profanum became during its existence one of the most exciting autumn events in Eastern Europe and will begin in Krakow on September 13.

This year Sacrum Profanum festival will be held for the seventh time and will present the masterpieces of contemporary instrumental and vocal-instrumental music performed by top musicians from all over Europe. Unlike previous years, when to the public were presented the magnificent works of musicians of Austria, Russia, USA and Germany, this year the audience will be able to enjoy the excellent music of British composers of the 20th century.

The main events of Sacrum Profanum festival will take place in the Hall of the Philharmonic of Karol Szymanowski, Oskar Schindler’s Factory and the Museum of Municipal Engineering Art. Visitors to the festival will be able to enjoy the masterpieces of modern and classical music performed by such groups as the unique Theatre of Voices, Asko | SchÄ‚Å›nberg and the London Symphonette. Among other things at the festival will perform the leading Polish musical groups. So this year Sacrum Profanum, besides a pleiad of great musicians from Poland, will be presented to the public such famous Polish jazz artists like Tomasz StaLko, Leszek MoĹźdĹźer and Kraftwerk band.

The closing ceremony of Sacrum Profanum will be held on September 19. The cost of the tickets is from 30 to 160 PLN.
