The last days of March will bring in the Belarusian capital not only the spring warmth and a sunny disposition but also new movies. On March 26th at Club of documentary films of the «Central» cinema will be held the first screening of the documentaries of talented Belarusian directors.
One of the major movies of the premiere is a documentary of a talented and one of the most titled directors of Belarus and Eastern Europe, Galina Adamovich. Her new documentary « Happiness» is about talented artist-ceramist, Alexander Novgorodskiy, who found his calling in working with the magical material, clay. Created by skilled hands of the master, ceramic teapots, cups, plates and akarinas imperceptibly remind of folk patterns and, at the same time, surprise by the identity and diversity. And it is no mere chance that to buy these akarinas of the talented ceramist musicians come not only from Belarus but also from Lithuania, Poland, Russia, and the unique ceramics are in great demand. The main character of the film has also succeeded in private life.
The film of Irina Volokh «AVEC COURAGE» raises a very interesting question about what forces serious family people sometimes engage in adventures and in the games for the real men." In the center of the plot is a sapper 18th infantry regiment of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania Igor Tarkan, a member of one of the knights' clubs where he explores and restores historical events, in particular the Napoleonic wars. The result of the original passion is a wonderful reconstruction of the battle, equipment and weapons produced by their own hands according to the old engravings, archival materials and museum exhibits.
The premiere of the film of Victor Aslyuk «Gippika» will conclude the showing of the documentaries. In the centre of the plot is an equestrian center “Gippika” located in Ashmyany land and which was opened in honor of the former owner of local lands, the great marshalak of the Grand Duchy of Lithuania Krzysztof of Dorogostay. Extraordinary statesman and a great amateur of horses, more than 400 years ago he had wrote a unique treatise on the horse breeding «Gippika, or a Book about horses», that is also topical nowadays. The film tells about the daily life the equestrian center «Gippika» and its inhabitants.
The show will be held on March 26th, at 19-00 in the “Central” cinema. The cost of the ticket is 500 Belarusian roubles.
