In a small Estonian village of Nina located in a picturesque area on the shore of Chudskoye Lake is opened a unique hotel, which in addition is also a center of culture and serves as the local library.
The village of Nina is the oldest Russian settlement in Estonia (approximately 1582). Situated in a picturesque area on the shore of Chudskoye Lake it is also one of the most beautiful places for eco-tourism and wonderful holiday away from city bustle. One of the most unusual attractions here is a Church of the Intercession and the ancient cemetery of Russian Old Believers.
Some time ago a naval engineer and a businessman from Holland - Hans Coster bought at auction abandoned Nina’s cordon for 1 250 000 kronas. Later for the reconstruction of the main building and improvement of adjacent territories he had spent more than 2 800 000 kronas.
At the moment at the former cordon’s and local school building of Chudskaya village Nina operates a full-fledged library and a village center of culture, created by a caring owner and a successful businessman Hans Coster with the assistance of the Estonian Agricultural Register and Information Department.
Quite recently for the visitors was opened a completely unusual hotel Nina Kordon. At the moment you can rent only three double rooms, but the main attraction of the hotel is its unique interiors. Rooms are completely furnished with antique furniture and exclusive accessories that the guest of Nina Kordon can take with him after paying the agreed price!
Despite modest housing stock of the new hotel the businesslike owners of the cordon are not discouraged and are planning to restore the second floor of the building, which will significantly increase the number of rooms. It is also planned to restore the tower on the shore of Chudskoye Lake and to create an observation platform with a stunning view.
