6. Canada. Payments with small coins and banknotes are not allowed.
You may say that the money is always money, even if it is a coin. However, traveling to Canada you shouldn’t forget to take with you your credit cards, because according to the established in 1985 Currency Act, payment with small coins and banknotes is illegal. Thus, without violating the law, with a coin of 1 cent you can pay for a 25-cent thing, with 5-cent – no more than $ 5 and with coins from 10 cents to $ 1 – no more than $ 10. Small banknotes also have some limitations. One dollar banknotes can be used if you are going to pay for not more than $ 25 thing and cash ranging from 1 to 10 dollars are legal if you pay an amount up to $ 40.
5. Russia. Traveling on dirty cars is prohibited.
Russia surprises its visitors not only with its mysterious soul, but sometimes with very mysterious laws. Thus, in Russia driving a dirty car is prohibited and such maneuvers can cost your an equivalent of about $ 100. It is an interesting thing: what "dirt-meters the local traffic police use to identify persistent lawbreakers?
4. United Arab Emirates. Public gluttony during Ramadan is illegal.
If you were lucky enough to travel to the United Arab Emirates during the Muslim holy month of Ramadan, be very careful in your actions. During the day there is a complete ban on eating and drinking, sex and smoking. Therefore, if you decide have a dinner in a restaurant during Ramadan, or want to drink a glass of juice (forget about the alcohol!), be prepared to pay not only food bills, but also a significant penalty. Very persistent may even be imprisoned. However, in the evening, after sunset and evening prayer and before the morning you can safely indulge in a long-awaited pleasure, because Allah is sleeping at night and do not see you.
