Starobin: Hotels and Accommodations
Starobin was first mentioned in the 16th century as a settlement of the Principality of Slutsk. Later, the town belonged, among others, to the Olelkowicz, Radziwiłł, Wittgenstein, and Hohenlohe princes. In 1654, Starobin was granted the right to hold a weekly market and four annual fairs. Religious Heritage
The Parish of St. John the Theologian in Starobin includes the Church of St. John the Theologian and the Church of St. Nicholas. The present-day Church of St. Nicholas was built in 1859 with funds provided by Prince Wittgenstein and is located at 38 Kalinina Street in Starobin. It was restored in 1994. Construction of the new Church of St. John the Baptist began in 2006; the new church building was consecrated on March 1, 2014.
In the vicinity of Starobin, at the site of today’s Soligorsk Reservoir, a commemorative plaque has marked since 2002 the former location of the church dedicated to St. John the Apostle and Evangelist, which was demolished in 1932.

Starobin is located 12 kilometers south of Soligorsk railway station and 145 kilometers from Minsk. Roads to Soligorsk, Lyuban, and Mikashevichi run through Starobin.
