Culture
The Museum of the Peasant Revolt is housed in the Baroque Oršić Castle. The castle was built in 1756 on the site of a medieval fortress and still has a Baroque chapel with illusionistic frescoes. Gupčeva lipa stands next to the parish church of Saint George in Gornja Stubica. The Chapel of Saint Vincent in Modrovec stands on a hill above the village among vineyards and was built in the Classical Baroque style. Jurjevo takes place every year around 23 April at Gupčeva lipa; it is a traditional event lasting several days. The programme includes exhibitions, folklore performances, children's programmes, concerts, religious services, and the lighting of a fire in honour of Saint George.
