The Starigrad–Donja Klada path is a well-maintained route along the sea with educational information boards. The Gornja Klada–Zavižan route begins next to a chapel in Gornja Klada and continues as a marked, well-maintained hiking trail.

There is a chapel on Donja Klada’s main waterfront.

Zavižan is located near Klada at an altitude of 1,594 metres above sea level. The Zavižan mountain hut was built on the foundations of Krajačeva kuća, which was constructed in 1927. Zavižan is home to Croatia’s oldest high-altitude meteorological station, established in 1953.

Surroundings

The Velebit Botanical Garden is about a 15-minute walk from the Zavižan mountain hut. It was established in 1967.
