The Church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross is a protected immovable cultural asset in Vratišinec. Built in 1897, the spacious pseudo-Gothic structure features a polygonal sanctuary and 28 buttresses.
The Old School Building in Vratišinec is also part of the protected immovable cultural heritage of the secular architectural heritage. Vinko Žganec was born in Vratišinec and recorded more than 25,000 folk songs, instrumental melodies, dances, and customs. KUD Dr. Vinko Žganec Vratišinec was founded in 1970 and received written permission from Vinko Žganec during his lifetime to bear his name.
Vratišinec has a choral music tradition associated with school and church choirs. Organised singing gatherings began after the parish was founded in 1789. Vratišinec also commemorates Vinko Žganec’s birth and death anniversaries every year.
An exhibition was being prepared at the Spomen-dom dr. Vinka Žganca presenting his life and his contribution as an ethnomusicologist and melographer.
