Culture

The permanent exhibition of the Zavičajni muzej Našice presents the heritage of the Našice region. The museum also includes memorial rooms dedicated to Dora Pejačević, Izidor Kršnjavi and Hinko Juhn. The Dora Pejačević Memorial Room contains biographical exhibits, furniture from her room, family photographs and documents, musical manuscripts, concert documentation, a piano and the marble bust Tuga. There is a bus stop in front of the museum.

The museum hosts an annual art ceramics colony in honour of Hinko Juhn.

The Dvorci Pejačević comprise the Great and Small Pejačević Castles in a park in the heart of Našice. Visitors can see representative salons, a bedroom, a library and a music salon there. The Church of Saint Anthony contains seven altars, Baroque paintings and sculptures, Baroque organs and two crypts.

Greger’s Villa is a protected cultural monument and now houses the Našice City Library. In addition to its library function, it provides rooms for cultural events.

Events

Dani slavonske šume is a traditional annual event in Našice. The central day of the event takes place in Perivoj Pejačević.

Festival okusa i tradicije is an autumn event in Našice featuring tastings of regional dishes and traditional music.

Trails and surroundings

The Put grofova hiking and running trail begins in the centre of Našice and leads to Lake Lapovac.

Nearby is Bedemgrad, a medieval fortress ruin above Gradac Našički, presented as a destination for history enthusiasts, hikers and day-trippers.
