The Kravarščica flows for approximately 31 kilometres before joining the Kupa. The Natura 2000 site “Gornji Hruševec – potok Kravarščica” encompasses approximately 315 metres of the Kravarščica stream and is considered an important area for habitat type CST 6430, humid tall-herb fringes along riverbanks and forest edges.

The Vukomeričke gorice consist of gently sloping, relatively low hills crossed by valleys containing numerous permanent and intermittent streams. They form gently elevated, low-lying upland with an average elevation of approximately 200 metres and extend for roughly 35 kilometres in a north-west to south-east direction.

The Kravarščica Eco-Ethno-Sports and Recreation Park comprises a building with a hall and covered stage, an equipped football pitch, a gazebo and a children's playground.

Transport

Gladovec Kravarski is connected to the municipal road network via local road L-31200; the road runs from Ž-3155 to Gladovec Kravarski for 0.7 kilometres. State road D-31 and county roads ŽC 3155 and ŽC 3116 run through the municipality of Kravarsko. Local roads connect settlements that are not located on state roads with these transport routes.

The Zagreb–Sisak motorway corridor runs along the north-eastern boundary of the municipality of Kravarsko. There is an interchange at Podvornica, providing a fast connection towards Zagreb.

Cycling

The “Biciklom na Kupu (VG–Kravarsko–Pokupsko)” cycling route is rated difficulty level 5 out of 5 because of its length and numerous climbs. It passes through the Vukomeričke gorice and allows cyclists to continue to the Kupa for swimming. The Green Route runs from Kravarsko via Ključić Brdo, Kozjača and Strezojevo to Donji Hruševec.

Wine and Culture

On 23 January 2026, more than 70 people attended the Vincekovo celebration in the Matušin family's vineyard in Kravarsko. At the 2026 Vincekovo celebration, the vineyard and winegrowers were blessed. The Vincekovo tradition includes the first pruning of the vines, the blessing of the vine and pouring wine over the vine.

The parish church of the Exaltation of the Holy Cross in Kravarsko is located in the centre of the settlement on a 240-metre-high hill overlooking the surrounding valleys.

Events

Kravaščica Park is located on the road between Velika Gorica and Pokupsko. In 2014, “Dragi naši bregi” was held for the third consecutive time as a May Day event in Kravaščica Park in Gornji Hruševec. “Dragi naši bregi” was listed in the event programme as an eco-tourism, culinary and music event at the Kravarščica Eco-Ethno-Sports and Recreation Park in Gornji Hruševec.
