Smokvica overlooks the surrounding hills, vineyards, and sea. The fields contain vineyards with around two million grapevines, as well as olive groves with 176,000 olive trees. Cycling and hiking trails lead through the vineyards.

The Smokvica panoramic trail begins in front of the Church of Gospa od Kandelora. It climbs toward St. Rok and offers views of Smokvica, the vineyards, and the sea. The trail includes the Church of St. Cyprian, which was first mentioned in 1329. The trail continues to the Church of St. Vid; it is dated to 1420 and features a stone relief.
Culture
The Parish Church of Očišćenja Marijina in Smokvica is a neo-Romanesque church with three naves. Its construction began in 1902 and continued until 1920. Stone façades, stairways, and streets reflect Smokvica’s stone-masonry tradition. The Venetian loggia on the Large and Small Squares dates from the 17th century.
