Cycling

Two official cycling routes pass through Krmed: Route 682 Venetian Signature runs between Svetvinčenat and the Lim Channel through the village. The route is 92.4 kilometers long, classified as moderately difficult, and runs entirely along paved roads. Official cycling route 251 Flavours of the Mediterranean also passes through Krmed and highlights the village’s historical sights. It is classified as easy and combines gravel with asphalt.

Culture

Krmed is listed as a rural ensemble in the cultural heritage inventory of the Municipality of Bale. The village center preserves well-maintained rural stone-house architecture with cisterns and baladurs.

Stari grad is a 232.7-meter-high hill with the remains of a prehistoric settlement. It is described as the best-known and largest hillfort in the Krmed area; the remains of the fortifications are visible. Novi grad contains prehistoric burial mounds. These measure approximately 12 to 18 meters in diameter and 0.50 to 2 meters in height.

St Elisha's Church was rebuilt in 1967 on the site of an older church. Its façade features two older reliefs depicting stars and circles. The Krmed area was already inhabited in prehistoric times, and Krmed existed as a settlement in the 13th century. After being abandoned as a result of plague epidemics, the village was resettled in the 16th century by settlers from Dalmatia. Today, Krmed is arranged in two settlement groups.

Landscape

The hills surrounding Krmed rise above flat cultivated land. Agriculture includes the cultivation of grapes, olives, and grain. State road D3 passes near Krmed but has no direct connection to the settlement.
