Culture and history

Brestova Draga preserves several older buildings featuring elements of traditional architecture and is laid out as a loosely dispersed roadside settlement on a gently sloping karst landscape. The Prenka ski area in Brestova Draga is classified as part of the Mrkopalj ski center system.

The history becomes particularly tangible at the Fajeri: these are the 13 stone supports of a wooden viaduct built on the Karolina Road in 1732. The Sunger–Brestova Draga–Bitoraj circular trail is a 20.1 km-long hiking route that passes by the Bitorajske Bijele stijene and Bitoraj. Route 727, Tragovima starih povijesnih cesta, runs from Lokve through Brestova Draga and Slavica to the Roswell cowboy village and then back to Lokve.
