When searching for a hotel that travelers want to book in Duće, the destination itself takes center stage. History and Architectural Heritage

The Church of Our Lady of the Snow near Stomorica above Duće was first mentioned in 1080 and was the first parish church for Duće. It has a cemetery where monolithic stone slabs cover natural rock fissures.

The Church of St. Mark in Duće features Romanesque elements; its bell gable bears Gothic characteristics. The bell of the Church of St. Mark bears the year 1468. Until the construction of the new church, the Church of St. Mark served as the parish church and has been a cemetery church since 1864. The parish church of St. Anthony in Duće was probably built in 1864 on the site of an older chapel mentioned in 1748. The Vojnović building complex in Duće was constructed in the 18th and 19th centuries.

Stare Duće is an old village at the foot of Mount Mošnjica with well-preserved stone houses. The Church of St. Mark in Stare Duće was built on the boundary between the areas of Duće and Jesenice. Stare Duće also displays the traditional pattern described for the surrounding villages, with streets, small squares, centers near a church or school, and historic monuments.

The route “Mitsko biciklističko putovanje” is 16 km long, fully paved, and described as having a stated riding time of two hours. At the entrance to Stare Duće, it includes a 400 m-long section with an average gradient of 7%. As Route 175, “Mitsko biciklističko putovanje” runs via Dugi Rat, Jesence, Zeljovići, Stare Duće, and Duće back to Dugi Rat. A trekking bike is ideal for this route; it can also be ridden with a gravel or MTB bike. The Poskok enduro route leads along the Put Stare Duće road and through Stare Duće.

Regional Cuisine

In the taverns of Dugi Rat, visitors can try Soparnik, a specialty from Poljica that is on the UNESCO Intangible Cultural Heritage List. In connection with Duće, Soparnik is described as a traditional gastronomic specialty.
