Vrsi: Hotels and Accommodation

Vrsi has 34 kilometres of highly indented coastline with natural sandy, gravel and rocky beaches. Anyone wishing to book a hotel in Vrsi can then continue searching for accommodation.

Coast and Landscape

Punta Velebit is a peninsula on the western side of Mulo, extending through untouched nature. It is covered by dense pine forest along a length of approximately three kilometres and a width of around 1.5 kilometres.

At high tide, the Prizda passage fills with seawater, turning Zečevo into a small island. At low tide, Zečevo is once again connected to the mainland and takes the form of a peninsula. Zukve combines sandy and gravelly beach areas with urban-style concrete beach sections.

Paths and Coastal Formations

The Red Cliffs in Duboka draga consist of steep coastal cliffs made of red flysch sandstone. On the Red Cliffs Trail, the village of Vrsi lies on the eastern side of the path. Kukinica can be reached exclusively on foot or by sea.

Culture

Crkva Gospe od Zečeva is registered in Vrsi as protected cultural heritage under code Z-1210. Below a section of beach is the early Christian Crkva sv. Jakova, dating from the 11th or 12th century. The fifth Dani pomorstva, dedicated to Vrsi’s maritime tradition, took place from 22 to 25 June.

By the Water

Mulo Beach has an outdoor gym and a sand beach volleyball court. Freshly caught fish from local catches can often be purchased along the local waterfront promenade.
