Radovin: Hotels and Accommodation

Beretinova gradina is home to a preventively protected archaeological site from the Iron Age, with defensive walls built in several phases; those wishing to book a hotel in Radovin can then continue their accommodation search. Rectangular dry-stone rooms measuring approximately 5 Ă— 8 m and visible remains of Roman architecture have been preserved there.

Culture and History

The remains of a prehistoric Liburnian settlement were found at Beretinova gradina in the vicinity of Radovin. They include defensive walls and rectangular foundations of stone houses.

The parish church of Gospe od Zdravlja dates from the second half of the 14th century and is one of Radovin’s architectural monuments.

The Church of Sv. Petar, dating from the Middle Ages, stands in Radovin’s cemetery. Next to it was a necropolis of masonry-built graves covered with simple stećci. The cemetery was used from the Middle Ages until the arrival of the Turks.

Traditions

Radovin’s traditional singing includes the forms orcanje and ganganje. The KUD Radovin actively preserves Radovin’s old traditional customs as well as Glagolitic chants. Traditional dances include šetnja, drmeš, ženski stupac and šuljanje.

Landscape and Cycling

Radovin offers views of the Velebit mountain range. Radovin has six springs with drinking water: ZviraÄŤa, Mrzlac, PinÄŤinac, Bara, Ĺ apot and Vrba. As part of its tourism development, Radovin acquired a cycle path.
