Únice: Hotels and Accommodation

The first historical mention of Únice dates back to January 22, 1308. On that day, Bavor III of Strakonice donated the village to the Order of Saint John; the donation included Únice with the adjacent meadows, fields, and ponds.

Culture and History

The village of Hubenov was first mentioned in writing in 1345. In terms of its layout, Únice appears as a dispersed settlement along a road. The northern part of Únice ends at an irregular triangular village square. Near the largest farmstead in Únice stands a small bell tower with a pyramidal roof; beside the bell tower is a cast-iron cross. Wayside shrines stand along the road on the outskirts of the village of Únice.

Masopust was celebrated in Únice in 2024 and 2025.

Nature

Březový vrch, at 570.8 m above sea level, is considered a notable natural asset and is preserved as an undeveloped, forested natural area suitable for recreation. Its lookout point offers a view over the gently rolling landscape in which Únice is situated.

Transport Connections

Road III/13911 connects Únice and Hubenov to the state road network from Strakonice and continues on to Třebohostice.
