Landscape
The Zbudovská Blata consist of meadows in the floodplain of the Bezdrevský potok, also known as the Soudný potok. They stretch between Zbudov, Zliv, Plástovice, Pištín and Sedlec and are a well-known ornithological site.
Culture and village character
The Kubata celebration is a traditional event. It begins with a church service in Zbudov village square and continues at the monument to Jakub Kubata.
The protected group includes the 19th-century agricultural homesteads of the Blata type with house numbers 1, 3, 4, 23, 25, 26 and 27. House number 1 is the Kubata Farm. The center of Zbudov has been designated a village conservation area. The former smithy, house number 28, stands in the middle of the village square.
Routes
The “Za selským barokem” loop is approximately 25 kilometers long and runs mainly along existing marked cycling routes. Zbudov is the sixth stop on this route and is designated there as a village heritage reserve area. The “Za selským barokem” loop passes through Zbudov’s village conservation area.
The “Kolem Pištína na Blata” cycling route passes through Zbudov. It is described as easy and is intended mainly for families with children and seniors.
About one kilometer southeast of Zbudov, the monument to Jakub Kubata stands on the Soudný potok. A marked cycling trail leads to the monument. Two stones on the Soudný potok are associated with the legend of Jakub Kubata’s execution.
