What does the thermal and adventure bath offer?

Jonathermál Gyógy- és Élményfürdő is designed as a bath for three generations and is open year-round. Its indoor and outdoor pools are used for therapeutic bathing as well as slides, waves and other water activities. The landscaped grounds are also suitable for sports. Alongside the bathing experience, the setting offers a range of activities, so your visit need not be limited to a single pool.

Special water attractions are added in summer. Four large slides expand the offering: the Anakonda is 120 metres long, the Hidrocső 61 metres, the Kamikaze 44 metres and the Rafting slide 41 metres. The bath also has a 530-square-metre wave pool. An artificial lake with a sandy beach and floating water-park features further expands the summer offering. If you are planning your visit around specific bathing experiences, you can therefore choose between the year-round facilities and the additional summer attractions.

What culture and history can you discover?

Some of the so-called radial-gable houses, characteristic of local folk architecture, can still be seen in Kiskunmajsa. The Tájház offers another glimpse into this heritage: it is a thatched farmhouse built around 1850, comprising three sections. Its late-19th-century furnishings include a traditional oven. Visiting different places lets you explore various aspects of rural architecture and life.

The Kiskunmajsa Roman Catholic Church stands in the central square. Dedicated to the Blessed Virgin Mary, it was built in the late Baroque style. Hungarian folk dance is also part of cultural life: the performing group of the Mayossa Hagyományőrző Egyesület preserves and shares this tradition and performs at events in the town of Kiskunmajsa.

Two very different collections offer further insights. The private Söröskorsó és Söröspohár Gyűjtemény collection of Kis Tibor displays more than 1,200 beer mugs and glasses from 32 countries. The Pongrátz Gergely 56-os Emlékmúzeum és Kápolna devotes two rooms to the history and memorabilia of the Pongrátz family. Two more rooms cover the 1956 Revolution and War of Independence. A permanent exhibition at Hungarikum Sétány showcases local values and Hungarian Hungarika, which you can discover on a walk.
