Kazdanga Palace was built at the beginning of the 19th century in the classicist style by the renowned Western European architect J. G. Berlics. In addition to its architectural significance, it offers a specific historical starting point for a visit: the Kazdanga Museum presents the history of the influential Manteifeļu–Scēges baronial family. The museum also includes an exhibition on the history of the Kazdanga pharmacy.

The park’s nature is evident not only in its paths. In 1873, Latvia’s first artificial fish ponds were created in Kazdanga Park. More than 150 bird species have their habitat here. Pedal boats and catamarans are available for hire on Kazdanga Dzirnezer. This option complements the paths on land with an activity on the water. Another special feature is the Akmens tilts stone bridge, commonly known as Vaidu tilts. It was built in 1840 and is the highest three-span stone bridge in Kurzeme.
