Jelgavas Novads: Hotels, Manor Houses and the Zemgale Plain

An exhibition on the history of the school is open to visitors at Vilce Manor. It covers the era of the barons, hunting stories and legends, as well as the revolutionary movement of 1905.

Nākotnes Park displays vintage objects, old aircraft and a collection of retro motorcycles. Alongside the estate complexes and historical exhibitions, technical and everyday artefacts from past decades are also a focus.

Nature

Historic paths have been restored in Eleja Manor Park, a bridge to a peninsula in the pond has been built, and interactive environmental installations have been created. Vilce Nature Park offers guided tours with playful educational elements focusing on rare and specially protected plant and animal species. Both locations combine landscaped grounds with specific environmental and landscape themes.

Twelve disc golf baskets are installed throughout the grounds of Vilce Manor Park. Discs can be rented by prior telephone arrangement from the Vilce Tourism Information Point. This means that sporting use of the park grounds requires clearly specified advance booking and is supported by a local rental option.
