The Viesīte narrow-gauge railway junction is an industrial monument of national significance.
The junction was in use between 1919 and 1972. It is of outstanding scientific, cultural-historical and educational significance. The historic railway station square is home to the only surviving section in Latvia of a 600 mm narrow-gauge railway with a water pump. Several other historic railway-related buildings have also been preserved nearby.
