The Neoclassical town hall in Pleszew was built in 1835. At St Florian’s Church, the eastern section is a Gothic structure dating from before 1444. The Pleszew Regional Museum is housed in a former post inn built around 1820–1830. Its permanent exhibition, “From the Early History of Pleszew and Its Surroundings,” focuses on the early history of the town and its environs. Visitors interested in the development of crafts and everyday work can find tools, equipment, photographs and documents on crafts from the Pleszew region at the “Kuźnia Zawodów” Craft Museum.

The specialist collections also cover different subjects. The Bakery Museum explains how bread is made and displays old bakery equipment, including three ovens for bread and confectionery. The convent museum of the Służebniczki Sisters presents embroidery, tools and documents from the domestic science school run by the congregation since 1923. Pleszew thus brings together early history, skilled trades and domestic science as distinct topics.

The Pleszew narrow-gauge railway is an option for travellers who would like to include a train ride during their stay: it offers regular services year-round, with additional tourist rides in open cars during the summer. The narrow-gauge railway station building was built in 1903. You can therefore combine a look at the historic station building with the experience of a train ride, without conflating the two.

For walking, the “Leśna Pętla” Nordic walking route is in Planty Park. In addition, the marked Pleszew–Lutynia–Dobrzyca hiking trail is 18 kilometres long, while the Pleszew–Lenartowice–Tursko trail is 14 kilometres long. The four-kilometre difference can help you estimate the length of a planned hike. A section of the Transwielkopolska cycling route runs through the town and municipality of Pleszew, adding a cycling option.

Gołuchów is in the wider region. Its castle was built between 1550 and 1560 and houses a branch of the National Museum in Poznań. A 158-hectare park with more than 600 species of trees and shrubs surrounds the castle. The Forestry Museum, in the building known as “Oficyna” in Gołuchów, displays hunting trophies and exhibitions on the cultural role, history and current challenges of forestry. The castle, park and Forestry Museum therefore offer different cultural-historical and landscape-related subjects.

Dobrzyca also adds to the region’s cultural attractions: its palace is an 18th-century Neoclassical building with a permanent exhibition and a temporary exhibition. The “Dobrzyckie Spotkania z Klasyką” have also been held annually in the wider region since 2004. The municipality of Gołuchów has cycling, canoeing and hiking trails for exploring its natural and cultural landscape. The Gołuchów tourist centre includes a beach, a bathing area and a watersports equipment rental service.
