Golęczewo is laid out as a linear village, with loosely grouped buildings on both sides of tree-lined Dworcowa Street. The municipality describes the rural settlement layout as unchanged to this day. Here, a linear village describes a specific arrangement: buildings were loosely grouped on both sides of Dworcowa Street. A square stood at the junction with the old village axis. A school with a chapel, known as the Kantorat, and an inn with a hotel area and hall were built there. The school, chapel, and hospitality venues thus came together in one place. Historical uses are also clearly identified elsewhere. A bathhouse, bakery, and fire station were built in one building on Dworcowa Street. Together, they show a range of communal, everyday, and craft uses. The municipality lists 42 properties entered in the heritage register and describes the rural settlement layout as unchanged.

Golęczewo lies between the national road, the Poznań–Piła railway line, and the Biedrusko military training area on one side, and the Dolina Samicy Kierskiej protected area on the other. The village description thus identifies transport routes and a training area, as well as a protected area, as spatial reference points. This contrasts infrastructure with protected landscape and adds the village’s geographical setting to the picture of its historic streetscape.

The Golęczewski Sensory Garden complements the historical themes with a recreational attraction. The garden includes a fenced playground with a sand surface, street workout equipment on a sandy area, and a table football table. The three features serve different purposes: playing, exercising on street workout equipment, and playing table football.
