Culture

The wider Milicz region includes Sielec Stary - 14th-century castle, Baszków - palace, and Pakosław - Neoclassical palace. Winna Góra, Zielony Szczyt, and Wzgórze Cielętnik are also located in the wider region.

Milicz was granted town rights around 1312. The castle of the Dukes of Oleśnica was built in the mid-14th century; only ruins of it remain.

In 1494, the castle was rebuilt in the Renaissance style under Sigmund Kurzbach.
