Culture

The Evangelical cemetery in Otoczyn is located in a field east of the Otoczyn–Nowa Wioska road and north of the bus turnaround in Nowa Wioska. It is recognisable in the terrain, heavily overgrown, neglected and preserved only fragmentarily. The cemetery dates from the late 19th century. A wayside chapel in the centre of Otoczyn dates from the early 20th century.

History

In the 13th century, the land on which Otoczyn is located belonged to the Stange family. In the 16th century, Stefan was the owner of Otoczyn. The emancipation of the peasants in Otoczyn took place as early as 1810.
