Zajdy is located in the Ełk Lake District, directly on Lake Zajdy, about nine kilometres southwest of Olecko. When choosing accommodation, its exact location relative to the shore and the described trails is important. The village address alone does not establish private access to the lake or permission to swim.

Lake and Trails
Lake Zajdy has several bays and peninsulas. It is described as covering around 62.5 hectares, measuring 1,500 metres in length and 420 metres in width. The green-marked Ogródek–Wilkasy–Czarna Wieś hiking trail passes by the lake. The “Nad jezioro Krzywe” route runs through Zajdy. These are two different trails; check the exact route, current conditions and your starting point before setting out. Zajdy is also north of Lake Kukowino and west of National Road 65. This information helps with orientation but does not replace the address of a hotel or holiday home.
A Place of Remembrance
The village is home to a former 19th-century Protestant cemetery with a First World War military cemetery. It is a historic site, not a recreational area. If you visit, treat the site with respect and check current access arrangements.
