What does the history of the Church of the Nativity tell us?
The original church building was created by converting a wooden house that the settlement’s founder, Mikhail Ardalionovich Nemchinov, had donated for use as a church. The Church of the Nativity opened in 1914, during the First World War. The original building was later destroyed; today, the church occupies a room in the Nemchinovskiy poselkovyy klub (Nemchinovka Settlement Club) on the same site.
The parish also has a date of its own: it was re-established in 2002, and services resumed at the same time. This helps distinguish the history of the former church building from the church’s current location.
