Serpukhovsky District: bison and culture

The Prioksko-Terrasny Nature Reserve covers 5,000 hectares and is home to about 1,000 plant species and 56 mammal species. On the “Road to the Bison” ecological trail, visitors can observe the animals from an observation tower as part of a guided excursion. A guided tour is therefore part of this offering; this does not imply that wildlife can be freely observed anywhere. The Nature Museum introduces visitors to the flora and fauna of the southern Moscow region. The “Derevo-Dom” eco-park, with obstacles and interactive activities, is scheduled to operate from April to November, weather permitting. These are different programs for families and nature enthusiasts, each with its own access and scheduling requirements.

The Church of the Nativity of the Mother of God in Podmoklovo was built in the early 18th century at the initiative of Prince Grigory Dolgoruky and is considered a notable architectural monument. Check current access to the interior and whether religious services are held. At the “Bunin Ruchyey” family club in Kleymenovo, guests can meet farm animals; the riding club offers lessons for children and adults. Ask about scheduling, age suitability, and what is included. Podmoklovo and Kleymenovo are different places in the district and should not be combined without planning the drive.
