Church of the Holy Spirit on Osterberg: Trails, Views and History

History

Construction of the Church of the Holy Spirit on Osterberg began on 20 July 1667. Construction was completed in 1679. The church was blessed on 7 July 1709. The three dates mark the construction period and the later ecclesiastical completion of the building's history.

Hiking Trails

The Aljaževa pot is a hiking trail from Selnica ob Dravi to Sveti Duh na Ostrem Vrhu. Stage 18 of the Pohorje–Kozjak Trail also follows this network of paths via Hajdičev mlin and then reaches Ostri vrh. Another route runs from Vurmat (Šturm) to Sveti Duh na Ostrem vrhu.

On the Šturm–Sveti Duh na Ostrem vrhu route, the Šturmov potok is crossed several times via footbridges. This route also includes a steep section secured with a steel cable. The different starting points, routes and terrain features can be compared when planning an individual hike.

The three routes name different starting and destination points: The Aljaževa pot connects Selnica ob Dravi with Sveti Duh na Ostrem Vrhu, stage 18 runs via Hajdičev mlin to Ostri vrh, and the Šturm–Sveti Duh na Ostrem vrhu route begins in Vurmat (Šturm).
