Culture and history
The State Museum of the Timurids’ History opened in Tashkent on October 18, 1996. It displays archaeological, ethnographic, and numismatic materials.

The Shaykhontohur Ensemble in the old part of Tashkent is a large architectural ensemble featuring the mausoleum of Shaykh Hovandi at-Tahur. In the Gulbozor mahalla in Tashkent’s historic district, there are the exhibitions “History of Bread” and “Journey into Old Tashkent.”
The Abulqosim-shayx Madrasah in Tashkent was built in the first half of the 19th century in the style of the Eastern Renaissance. In the G‘afur-G‘ulom House Museum in Tashkent, the second floor was converted into a memorial zone featuring G‘afur G‘ulom’s study, reception room, and rest room.

The Tashkent Botanical Garden contains a collection of more than 6,000 plant species. Visitors to the Tashkent Botanical Garden can take part in educational tours.
