The Carpathians are located in the west of Ukraine. The range stretches along the border of Ukraine and further to Romania, Hungary, Slovakia and Poland. The Ukrainian Carpathians are located in 4 oblasts: Lvovskaya, Zacarpatskaya, Ivano-Frankovskaya and Chernovitsaya.

The peaks of the Carpathians are covered with snow for about 5 months during the year. Virtually, in any place of the Carpathian Mountains you can find an opportunity for skiing because ski lodges, sanatoriums and rest homes are built in the areas suitable for skiing and snowboarding.

For those who like extreme sports there is the opportunity to explore the Carpathians by different ways: by walking, biking, on jeeps, or on horseback. There are wonderful conditions for paragliding in the Carpathians. In addition, there are excellent shootings there. You can also make a cultural excursion to Lvov or Uzhgorod.

The most well-known holiday centers in the Carpathians are Yaremche, Yablunitsa, Mizhgorye and Svalyava. There are these cities, where most of the Carpathian hotels, health resorts and sanatoriums, recreation centers, boarding houses and private cottages are concentrated. The average price of housing varies from 3 to 7 Euros per room. It is also possible to rent private apartments. It will cost even cheaper than paying for a room in the camping.
